ABOUT

Jadranko “Jimi” Draženović.

Independent security risk advisor. Based in Trogir, Croatia — at work wherever the questions are hard.

Jimi’s career began where security stops being abstract: as an infantry soldier in the Croatian Armed Forces during the Homeland War. Five years of patrols, reconnaissance and force protection taught the fundamentals no course can — composure, discipline, and decision-making when it counts.

In 1997 he moved into private protective security, spending thirteen years responsible for the safety of a high-profile private client across Europe — residences, daily life and international travel, delivered so discreetly that discretion became a professional reflex.

From 2010 onward he took that craft to the world’s hardest postings: Kabul, Helmand and Khost in Afghanistan; Basra, West Qurna and Kurdistan in Iraq; Mogadishu and Somaliland; and today Tripoli, where he leads protective operations and advises the leadership of an EU civilian mission. Along the way he has commanded multinational teams, built and trained guard forces of up to sixty-three personnel, planned movements for meetings at the highest levels of government, and kept a repeatedly attacked project site without a single security breach.

That is the experience behind the advice: not theory about high-risk environments, but three decades of decisions made inside them. It is also why this website names no clients — confidentiality is not a policy here, it is a habit. Every claim on these pages is documented, and the documents are available on request.

How I work.

Preparation over reaction

The cheapest crisis is the one that never happens. Most of this work is making sure it never does.

Discretion as default

No client lists, no name-dropping, no photographs of principals. What happens on an engagement stays there.

One accountable advisor

You get the person with the record — not a junior team under a senior letterhead.

Plain language

Risk advice is useless if leadership can’t act on it. Reports here are written for decision-makers, not for filing cabinets.

Trained for the environments that demand it.
